Christmas Jumper Walk for Crumlin Children’s Hospital

Christmas Jumper Walk 2020.png

On the 11th of December, all of us here at Ardscoil La Salle took part in a "Christmas Jumper Day" to raise money for Crumlin Children's Hospital. Staff and students alike wore festive, Christmas clothing into school before going on a 5km walk around the surrounding area.
Normally at this time of year, a group of our students would go into Dublin City Centre for a day of carol singing to raise money for charity. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, this was not possible. In order to keep up our Christmas tradition of raising money for charity we decided to organise this fun event that the whole school could take part in.

Throughout the morning, we played Christmas FM to get both staff and students into the Christmas spirit. After our morning break, all of our students set off on their 5km walk in the hope that our Christmas outfits would bring some cheer to the local community.
The day was a great success as we surpassed all of our initial goals and raised €660 for Crumlin Children's Hospital. We would like to thank everyone for their generous donations.
